Just having the thought “I’ll always be fat”, or “I can never stick to a diet” can wreck havoc on our weight loss efforts. Once you learn that you CAN choose your own thoughts…and your thoughts create your feelings…which lead us to the action we take…and then ultimately the result we get.

Here is an example:

Circumstance: I am overweight.

Thought: I will never lose weight and will always be fat.

Feeling: Depressed, Hopeless

Action: You eat to suppress your feelings (short term solution)

Result: You don’t lose weight.

Here is an example of how you could change that thought:

Circumstance: I am overweight.

Thought: It might be hard, but I deserve to look good and feel good.

Feeling: Motivated

Action: You make healthier choices and workout.

Result: You lose weight.
